It's raining again..This has been a really wet festive season for CNY.

20 JAN 04
Had half a working day and had to head down to Big Splash for the battalion's CNY celebration. Boring, Lame, Hot (as in the weather) and a pure waste of time... Once out of camp, everyone shows their true colours, the uncivilised, uncultured and babaric nature shows, even in public. Believe it, you better do...

CNY EVE!
Rushed down to NYPS only to have the teachers having lessons and could only meet up with a few before everyone scrambled home. Headed down to Hwa Chong next and managed to catch Mr Koh, Ms Quek and Ms Ong, now Mrs Lee. And by the time I went back to CHS, it was 11:30am and only Joseph Tan and Mdm Ng was there. Reunions are rare, and hard to come by, especially nowadays. The meetings were great...and memorable.

CNY
All the usual stuff of visiting the maternal side on the first day and my father's side on the second. Played lots of mahjong with my family and lost a big amount, but managed to recover some at the last few rounds with double flowers...Met up for lunch and dinner with Mdm Wun and Mrs Tay on Saturday and Sunday respectively...must have gained a few kgs over the whole period especially after pigging in the new year goodies!

Received a call from Connie late last week....see here. Woohoo! But after the interview today, I guess me chances are as slim as it can get lar...dun wanna talk about it, but since most of my friends around din get any scholarships, I guess I am not up to it yet....

Sob sob...knew this day would come but the blues is simply overwhelming, two weeks of virtual ORD, now have to get back to that mundane routine, babaric society where no reasoning suffice, sighzz....just looking forward to Chinese New Year then I will take off (hopefully can...) and then have another long break.

Oh Auld Lang Syne my dear, for auld lang syne.....Ggggggggggggggreat! 2003 is finally over and I am one year closer to ORD! Muahahahaha...oops must gain control of myself. Just realised that I have not been blogging for a long time now...

Block Leave

Since Christmas eve, I have only been back to camp for one day (this monday) for a "NE Seminar" blah....yah, but the whole feeling of becoming myself is back again. It is nearly two full weeks of holiday, though almost kena duty clerk this Sunday, but adverted this crisis, so I will be having a peacful new year.

And out of fun decided to apply for SPH scholarship and I was called for a writing test yesterday morning, which makes me awake for about 18 hours now....and after 3 full years of isolation from the Chinese language, the ideas may still flow, but the words simply does not come out...I mean I can't write in Chinese! Arghhhhh! Oh well...once again it's back to the same old statement. "NS has corrupted by brain" System Error....this brain needs to be restarted...

And this has jolly well happen before I take my basic theory this friday...seems like a pretty packed schedule har....and not forgetting the tentative lunch plan with Ian this Saturday, hope it does not fall through again...

Christmas

After booking out on Xmas Eve, it was meet-up with Guowei and Eng Wee. Eat, talked, stoned, walked about. The usual stuff, but it's always nice to meet up. Comparing lives and know that I am still the one with the worst possible NS life with the lowest pay....sighzz...haha...and must mention that this was a meeting organised by Guowei! Why? The "other half" went overseas for CIP, no wonder got time for friends...haha...

Then had a small chat with Edmund whom just returned from Taiwan, getting comissioned in less than a month's time. Somehow, when talking with him, the conversation does not break..no idea why...just feels more at ease I guess and he always has a way of keeping the talk going...

Christmas night was spent at my house with Kenny, Eng Wee and Junyu whom have moved to my opposite block. Played about 3 rounds of mahjong before EW had to leave. I was too tired and just left the two of them to entertain themselves with my computer. Sorry guys....anyway, the Christmas season was one of my jolliest ever, since all my past 18 christmas was spent watching TV and sleeping...
