Flying away...

Things have gotten monotonous in camp, having taken over the role of accounting clerk and also having to split myself as the Admin Clerk at the same time. Arriving in camp daily, waiting for fall-out. Jobs and arrows pile up like the Tuas Dumping Ground, but there is simply no more zeal to complete them. The family which used to be there to provide the support has faded into the background with its own share of worries...Retrenchment, Love, Exams, Communication Breakdown....

Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish I can fly away from it all. Away from NS, away from my life, yes, even my family.

Taking Off...

In more sense than one...finally got to clear my off from Thusday afternoon. Left a whole pile of unfinished stuff to my colleague and throwing away all thoughts of office politics, but the usual phone calls continue to haunt, that idiotic voice in the background continues to wreck havoc in my mind. At least it was a long weekend and the haunting stopped on Friday evening...

As the birds fly past over the horizon, envy and jealousy can only explain part of my heart's feelings...to take off from this routine, to step into the next phase of my life.

Fly away...

Going out...

Tried to arrange a meeting with Guowei, Jiyuan and Eng Wee, but Guowei had to stay on Tekong for Parents Visiting Day, so the usual trend continues...hopefully can meet him in a week or two and maybe we can get Gerald to join in.

Jiyuan wanted to eat Sukiyaki...but had to disappoint him as I don't eat beef and the steamboat was filled with vegetables...shopped at Daiso and Giant. Sounds like a typical outing of eating, chatting and shopping...but fortunately the day was made a special one with the viewing of Liang Jing Ru at IMM...

My latest idol has been made...her powerful voice (she sang 'live' and it was imply mesmerizing), her humour and composure simply explained the huge crowd who was there for her. Wanted to buy a CD and get her signature there and then, but enjoying her singing was enough...

Can't stand it anymore...

Over Friday and Saturday, I had really bad encounters with my superiors....

RQ: You know what, something is wrong. I sms you about the black notebook, how come you never reply?
Me: Sir, Sergeant Jimmy Lim called you up about this already.
RQ: I don't care. I only know that I sms you and I expect you to reply me, even if it says Jimmy is following up. You know how difficult it is for me to type an sms?

RQ: You know what's worst? Someone took my fan away! You should have looked after it!
Me:
RQ: If it is SAF property, I don't mind, but it is my personal fan! I want you to jaga the things in the office...

10 minutes later...
Me: Sir, I am on my way to the printing centre.
RQ: Play, don't forget to get some colour paper if you can...

The next day...

Made my way to camp. On the way at Lim Chu Kang Road, someone sms me to say that CO early release and they are going to fall out after area cleaning. Called my QM right outside the camp gate.

Me: Sir, so do I have to come to camp at all today?
QM: No need, did anyone inform you to come back in the morning?
Me: No..
QM: Never mind, no need to come back...
Me: Thank you, Sir.

Went back home. Received a call.

RQ: Today is a normal working day, you need to come.
Me: But Sir, then I will be late.
RQ: Late? To me, very simple, you live at Choa Chu Kang right? You can reach camp before 8am.

Me:
RQ: Eh!
Me: Yes, Sir.

Called QM.
Me: Sir...
QM: You call RQ about it....

Great! Chocolate bars are fed to the crab in the cage again...I am treated like a clown! Making me go to and fro camp, I have my feelings too. It is not always that we have to give in to tyranny...

Finally,

RQ: I am with OC now...you can carry on...
Me: Sir, you mean...
RQ: You can stay at home...but next time, remember to call me and you know that, I don't want people to play with words....

When did I play with words? False acussations...

Note: This post has been edited after some useful advice...

Anatomical Exhibition

In short: Ewwww....yucks! Informative and eye-opening. Very interesting exhibits but seriously, it really GROSS! Especially the foetus part, that wold simply put any women off abortion, unless of course the foetus has deformations like those shown....

64 Gathering

Had a long overdue gathering of 01S64 at Jiesi's house..din do much except for playing dai di and gin rummy. Still did not feel really in place with the class, but nonetheless, it was fun to meet up again...Didn't join the class for dinner cos my mum cooked up a feast at home tonight. Shark Fin, Fried Prawns, Yu Sheng...Hmmmm Mama Mia!
