1500 kbps Unlimited Internet! Woohoo........

This was the deal I got from Singtel last month...the connection speed are more or less faster, more evident when watching webcast, a whooping 1400 kbps was my available bandwidth! Download speeds are now on the average 90-100 kb/s and that's a real improvement...

But I still have some outstanding issues with Singtel on this, and they had better reply me soon....

Time Shifts

My brother got a letter of appointment from the Accountant General Office today. Back about a month ago, I witnessed his convocation. The feelings were mixed, someone so close to me is now taking his step into the society. I have more or less followed in his foot steps thus far, though the first step into NYPS. I never turned back...but I now look upon life with my own perspective and I can no longer see myself in him..for good or bad, only time will tell...

15 July 2004 saw the convocation of graduates with Bachelor of Communication Studies with Honours, there they were, taking up the minority of seats in the Nanyang Auditorium as compared to the second batch of Bachelor of Accounting graduates, thoughts overwhelmed my mind. For interest or practicalism? How did I settle upon my choice of course? Regrets, none. But self-doubt will be forever in my mind...the lack of confidence of myself fitting in to an alien environment with my sort-of-introvert personality worries me, and with no acquaintences in the faculty, not even the Uni, how will my life transform?

Almost a third from SCI graduated with Book Prizes and Media Awards, will I be one of them? Singapore will shift its focus on to the media industry, aiming for it to generate 3% of its GDP in 10 years' time and in the process, generate at least 10,000 jobs...the pressure cooker is turned on again.

Changes and Reflections
Singapore would be changing Prime Ministers. The cabinet will be a new...ehh...technically new one. My S4 have changed. My CO have changed. But someone is not changed. Hwa Chong will vanish...I am still sorting all these out mentally and when its done, I shall pour my feelings...

Time flies...our family is entering a new era, and I will be stepping into the next phase of my life real soon... But I do not have time to reflect on what it has been for the past one or so years..maybe a toning down of events would help, but my unit will be on high-key training...but does it really concern me? I doubt so...

I am now officially permanently excused boots, but am still C2L2...*beep* on well, if more good news arrive after I do what I am planning to do...I will be updating this page soon...ciao!

HAPPY 39TH BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!

Well, haven't really got down to seriously blog for a long time...and I might as well forget about writing my trip to Russia since I can't recall much of the details now...or maybe I shall create a travel section to record everything...hmmm...

Okay, Singapore's turned 39 and I have 240+ days till my parole. National Day this year has brought about a long weekend and I am thankful for that even though I am on standby..and that means I slept most of the weekend away. The funny thing is that the more you sleep, the more you tend to feel tired....oh well....

NDP this year was as per normal, a big show (read:wayang) put up to impress the people. With the im pending change in the helm of leadership, our economy has inevitably turned for the better, jobs will soon increase, workers will be getting their bonus and Singaporeans will vote for the PAP again..sighzzz...
