Of Peak and Wishing Tree
It's really ironic to visit Hong Kong. The winter weather is really good but the mist with it brings trouble for photo-taking. During spring which really feels like summer already, the haze is a problem and the rain disrupts many plans too. One thing I have come to appreciate back home is the clean air. Seriously, the air pollution is quite bad in Hong Kong. Though I did not feel this way when I was there, it certainly is a rarity to see clear skies with white clouds, and so when the weather is good it is time to grab the photo op.

The next day (after Wetland and Victoria Peak) I headed to the Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree which is one of other TVB must-see locations. Alas, even though I have heard of the breaking of a branch and the removal of all the wishing packets from the branches, I sure did not expect metal and bamboo poles supporting every single branch which is not cut off. Well, traditional beliefs vs. environmental conservation. I don't know who will win but I only know that I do not see much hope in the tree recovering. Sadly but true.
